Yeah. What happens if we get in a war with Denmark and then one of our warships accidentally runs into a wind turbine, and because of that, we lose the war and Denmark annexes Massachusetts? That would be unacceptable, thus offshore wind turbines are a national security risk and must be banned.

This administration in a way completely transparent and completely opaque. It's transparent in that none of this is surprising, we expect them to act venally and capriciously and lie about everything. But it's not transparent in that there are so many secrets.
We don't know the specifics of their misbehavior, but we all know its happening. On the Epstein stuff, we know that Trump was up to sexual abuse and quite likely the rape of underage girls, but we don't know the details. With the wind cancellation, we know they are completely lying about this classified report, but we don't know the details.

The AI tech bros don't need actual generating power, they need the appearance of the necessity of lots of power, to justify soaring stock prices and massive capital investments.
That's why they talk about things like nuclear power: it has the appearance of providing lots of power, but in reality it's super expensive and takes more than a decade to build. So they spout lots of talk about needing nuclear power to convey that "we are serious about this, it's very very big, you should invest in us rather than the other folks," while not actually committing anything serious.
Plus, the AI tech bros are all completely subservient wimps when it comes to Trump. They bow down and would do anything for Trump; need for electricity is really really far down the list below appeasing Trump and being on his good side.

So, you could ask a federal judge to review the order and the information to check the validity of it, even if you don't have clearance.

They can get access, but it will require hearings, provide another grounds for appeal, might require appointment of a third party, etc. It's a way to bog everything down, even if you assume it's not a way of hiding the flimsiness of their reasons.

I'm impressed it took this long. Trump has had a chip on his shoulder about offshore wind turbines ever since Scotland built some by one of his golf courses. I guess he is feeling less restricted by rule of law these days.
That sad this is going to come up and almost certainly be struck down in the lower courts. It remains to be seen if they have the energy to appeal it all the way up to the Supreme Court, where he would probably win.
